I am travelling there in April - can anyone clarify what the differences and locations of the adult section vs. I have been to other Karisma resorts on many occasions Also - how many pool bars are there? Is construction finally wrapping up at the property? I am wondering the same thing. The website does not have a resort layout the link is broken. Lots of opinions about the resort on here though You might want to check out the Puerto Morelos forum for info re the Sensatori.
I actually started a thread there with this same question, so will try to give a detailed answer. First, the premium section is not adult's only. Another con of the premium section is that apparently the pool and swim-up suites are in shade from midday onwards, whereas the Adult's only section gets sun all day long.
The main plus of the premium section is that you get pool butlers, who will bring you drinks, snacks, sun lotion, newspapers etc waiters in Adult's Only will bring you drinks only. I think there are also more sun-loungers and beds in this section.
Re swim-ups: IMO it's really down to personal preference, but if you do want a swim-up, I'd book the adult's only section see above re lack of sun in premium section. But, they are pretty cool if you fancy steeping straight out of your room into the water, lazing in your private out-door jacuzzi etc. Re nightlife; at the moment it's all very low-key, with not much going on.
This might change as the resort gets busier. There's the Mojito Lounge and Roof-top bar for late night drinks, but that's pretty much it. If you want more up-tempo nightlife, you'd be best heading into Playa del Carmen or Cancun for the night. Sorry, other plus of Premium section is better room with internet access, aromatherapy menu, turn-down service etc. These things aren't a big deal to me, but again it's personal preference; sometimes it's nice to splash out and go that extra mile.
